Our Achievements...So Far...

Due to our continued excellence, we found ourselves ranking in the well-respected QS World University Rankings 2014/15, having risen 13 places and been rated as ‘Modern University of the Year’ in the Guardian University Guide 2015 and in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015 respectively.

These achievements would not have been possible without ongoing investments in research and in a sound teaching environment; we have recently been placed in the top three UK universities for collaborative research and consultancy, achieved international standard ISO14001 and Platinum EcoCampus environmental management systems for environmental performance, and Humanitarian Engineering won a Green Gown award in the ‘courses’ category in 2013.

On top of the mentioned successes, we boast a 94% graduate employability and further study rate from the DHLE Survey 2012/13, and we have scored overall 93% student satisfaction in the National Student Survey – an increase from the 2013 results and 8% higher than the national average – ensuring that all students go away happy.

Coventry University Partners with Leading Companies

We believe in our connections, partnering with leading companies such as British Heart Foundation, Microsoft, IBM, London Midland, Sainsbury’s and more, with 1700 Global Leaders Programme students so far having developed their skills and knowledge for the global workplace. We provide year on year international experiences for our students, with just over 2000 going abroad in 2012/13 and almost 3000 going abroad in 2013/14. This places us at No1 UK Higher Education Institution, reaching over 4000 international experiences in total.

Our Add+Vantage modules, designed to increase student employability, have had a considerable impact on graduate employment, helping 83% of graduates find roles within leading companies such as JLR, Rolls Royce, IBM, JCB, Severn Trent Water, Bentley Motors and plenty more. Following the success of these modules, our Central Careers Service is introducing two more in partnership with Severn Trent Water and Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the next academic year to even further ensure graduate students’ success. These achievements have not been without the excellence of the research within the Faculty, 71% of which is rated by the RAE in 2008 as internationally excellent or world-leading, providing links with highly developed industries such as airlines, aircraft manufacturers, airport and logistics operators and many more.
